Government touches our lives every day. This means that it must be part of the solution to building a stronger Rhode Island.

With this in mind, Treasury approaches and solves problems differently. No longer can government rely on the ‘business as usual’ model. As we work to solve old problems in new ways, we will continue to look to the community for help and support.

Our focus in Treasury is to provide exceptional, performance-based results. In the first two years of my term, we made tremendous improvements and are operating better and faster for you, the Rhode Island taxpayer. Treasury is working. And Treasury is committed to putting Rhode Island on a secure path to growth.

State of the Treasury: Secure Path RI reflects on the first half of my term, and looks ahead to the work still to come. While some of our accomplishments are well known, it is important to highlight our total progress.

This report shows government working and is divided into three sections:
